The Role

In this new position, you will play a key role in supporting and driving local climate action in Bendigo. You’ll assist in the implementation of the Greater Bendigo Zero Emissions Roadmap, through supporting the creation and delivery of climate projects, events and community programs. You will have the opportunity to work with the community, in building their capacity and knowledge.

You will also identify, and contribute to the development of documents for fundraising, advocacy, grants, and submissions to government and develop systems to support the collection, management, interpretation, and reporting of emissions data.

About You

To be successful in this position, you will:

  • Have experience in delivering projects and initiatives that support emission reductions across the community, particularly across the energy and transport sectors.
  • Good understanding of community development, engagement and behaviour change principles and how they apply to climate change mitigation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal together with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Good report writing skills with excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Qualifications and/or experience in climate change education & engagement, environmental management or sustainability.
