What You Will Do:
As a Plant Operator – Wastewater Treatment, you will undertake a range of tasks to ensure our Treatment Plants are running smoothly.
Everyday tasks include undertaking trend analysis to evaluate and optimise plant equipment performance, undertake fault finding with the view of identifying possible solutions, provide guidance and support to other treatment plant staff, perform sampling as directed by the Senior Plant Operator, assist with computer tasks such as laboratory and asset data entry, submitting maintenance requests and incident reporting and adhering to Council’s recordkeeping policies and procedures.
You will be required to provide exceptional customer service and proactively address customer concerns to support our community.
What We Are Looking For:
• Certificate III in Water Operations or ability to obtain.
• A hands-on approach to the resolution of problems.
• Effective written communication skills.
• Proven experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing software.
• Demonstrated understanding of basic mathematics, biology and water chemistry.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and support on call roster.
