Join Livingstone Shire council as our Disaster Management Officer!

As a Disaster Management Officer, you'll work closely with the Coordinator Disaster Management and Community Resilience to implement Council’s disaster management programs. Your responsibilities will span across prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery efforts, ensuring Livingstone Shire remains a safe and prepared community.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced candidate who possesses in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Disaster Management Act 2003, the Disaster Management Regulations 2014, and the Queensland Disaster Management Arrangements. If you can demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, and you have the ability to inspire and guide during critical operations as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills, paired with demonstrated experience negotiating and collaborating with diverse external stakeholders – we want to hear from you!

- Skills, Experience and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Advanced Diploma of Public Safety (Emergency Management) and/or substantial experience with sound discipline knowledge of Queensland disaster management arrangements, principles and operations gained worked working in a similar role; and
- Possess and maintain a current motor vehicle driver licence.

- Salary: Between $94,341 p/a – $98,211 p/a (dependant on experience and qualifications);
