Full Time Permanent Position

Band 6 - Salary Range $95,073 to $103,531 per annum + 11.5% Super + ADO

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity to join the Engineering and Asset Services team to project manage and deliver Council’s major Civil projects. 

Reporting to the Design & Investigation Coordinator you will collaborate closely across all levels of Council, eternal stakeholders and residents, to support the development and execution of storm water infrastructure programs for the Council's Capital Works program, ensuring timely responses to customer enquiries.

You will be responsible to Conduct drainage investigations and implement a priority-based system for drainage upgrades using modelling tools and/or accepted engineering practices as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond positively and punctually within specified timelines to customer enquiries and requests and adhere to the performance standards adopted in the Customer Service Charter.
  • Thoroughly investigate customer requests such as drainage and stormwater flooding issues in a timely manner and develop and implement solutions in accordance with industry best practice, Council policy and budgetary requirements to ensure Council is pro-active and responsive to community needs and expectations.
  • Provide best possible customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide information and guidance to support the development of storm water infrastructure programs for the Council's Capital Works program, including preparation of project briefs for mitigation works.

About you
 

To be successful in this role you will have the following:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering with some relevant experience, alternatively lesser formal qualification with substantial relevant experience relevant experience.
  • Experience in the use of computer design and drafting software as well as Microsoft Office particularly MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Experienced in relevant drainage and flood modelling and design software, including Civil3D, Civil Site Design, AutoCAD, Hec-Ras, and Drains. Knowledge of TUFLOW would be advantageous.
  • Current valid Victorian Driver’s Licence.
