About the role

This role will see you overseeing the day-to-day work and functioning of the Depot team undertaking operational work, service provision and projects for the assigned depot facilities and Public CCTV network.

You will also be carrying out and coordinating comprehensive routine scheduled inspections, testing, monitoring, reporting, defect rectification and ongoing site management of all North area Depot Operational facilities and public CCTV, which will assist you to provide best practice safety, compliance and environmental outcomes.

Key activities of this role include:

  • Engage, monitor, manage and coordinate contractors and internal service providers as required;
  • Contract management and supervision of external contractors consistent with Organisational processes and in consultation with Central Coast Council’s Procurement and Projects Unit;
  • Carry out effective engagement, liaison and communication with all depot operational facilities stakeholders.
  • Manage, monitor and oversee the assigned public CCTV network assets

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Essential Criteria:

  • Diploma in Facilities Management or Project Management or related field OR demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role, combined with ongoing professional development;
  • Current Class C Driver’s Licence;

Required Experience:

  • Significant experience in a building maintenance, asset or facilities management related role and sound knowledge or experience in building and construction;
  • Demonstrated experience in project management delivering building / facilities specific and other multidisciplinary projects;
  • Demonstrated experience in motivating, leading and supporting staff and contractors, and coordinating the activities of a team to achieve outcomes;
  • Demonstrated experience in the ability to develop and manage relationships with multiple stakeholders in a complex and political environment;
  • Well-developed performance improvement and consultation skills;
  • Demonstrated leadership behaviours, including active communication with the team in regard to performance, business strategy, diversity, coaching and mentoring and change management;
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, credible relationships and influence, persuade or negotiate outcomes that are of benefit or add value, to all or part of the organisation;
  • Proven ability to assess, interpret and judge information or situations, and formulate recommendations, provide specialist advice or deliver a service, based on the findings.

Other important information

  • The salary range for this position ranges between $85.8K - $103K plus 11.5% superannuation plus Tool of Trade 
  • This is a Permanent Full Time role.
  • This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight. T
  • This role is primarily located at the Charmhaven Depot but required to travel to other sites as required.
