First Year Apprenticeship opportunities to complete a Certificate III in Parks and Gardens or Certificate III in Sports Turf Management!
Central Coast Council is excited to offer these apprenticeship opportunities to motivated individuals who have a keen interest in gaining hands on work experience and technical training in the Horticulture industry either completing a Parks and Gardens or Sports Turf Management apprenticeship.
About the Program
You will commence as a first-year apprentice and will be trained under the instruction of a suitably qualified supervisor. As your experience grows, you may be required to rotate between job locations to further extend your experience across a broad range of work experience for the duration of the program. Council offers an excellent development program with exposure to many elements of the job throughout the course.
The Central Coast Council Apprenticeship program requires successful applicants to enter a training contract for four (4) years commencing in January 2025. Interviews for these positions will be held the week beginning the 2nd December 2024.
You will be provided with individual training plans and are required to undertake and complete a trade qualification at either a NSW TAFE campus or through a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

Selection Procedure
Applications will be assessed based on information provided in the application. Council receives numerous applications for apprenticeships and applicants need to meet the essential criteria and clearly establish their aptitude for their chosen role. Applicants successful at progressing to interview will then be invited to attend a group and panel interview which will be conducted during a weekday. Applicants shortlisted for interview will be advised via phone and e-mail.
