About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated HR Officer to join the HR team for a 2-month contract. This role is perfect for someone eager to contribute to recruitment and HR functions while gaining valuable experience.

Key Responsibilities:Recruitment and Selection:

  • Administer and monitor the Council’s online Recruitment system.
  • Provide guidance to staff and managers on the recruitment process.
  • Assist in the preparation and posting of job advertisements.
  • Manage recruitment communications with external media and providers.
  • Prepare and distribute offer letters and notify unsuccessful applicants.
  • File and archive recruitment documentation.
  • Create and maintain personnel files in the electronic document system (Objective).
  • Administer the Student Employment Program and maintain recruitment statistics.

Organisational Development Support:

  • Provide administrative support to the Organisational Development team.
  • Respond to general inquiries from staff and the public.
  • Prepare and distribute letters of variation.
  • Manage departmental correspondence.

About You

  • A qualification in Human Resources or related field, or relevant work experience.
  • Experience in administering recruitment and selection processes.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HR Information Systems (experience with Objective is a plus).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.
