ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Human Resources team sits within Council’s Corporate Performance Directorate and is responsible for a diverse range of services across Cumberland, supporting people leaders across the employee lifecycle. This includes advice on team structures, recruitment, employee and industrial relations, and learning and development, as well as contributing to key organisation initiatives and HR projects.
The team were the recipients of the 2022 Employment Diversity – Metro Award at the Minister’s Awards for Women in Local Government and received an Honourable Mention at the 2023 National Awards for Local Government for our Mentoring and Development Program, and proudly deliver internal services which educate, inspire and build the capability of our leaders and staff.
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Human Resources professional to join our team in providing comprehensive HR services to the organisation. Reporting to the Coordinator Human Resources, this role will work closely in partnership with the HR team and stakeholders to assist in the delivery of end to end recruitment services, maintain Council's HRIS systems, coordinate probation process and to facilitate and assist in various other HR related tasks.
