The Opportunity

We’re seeking a skilled Division 1 Nurse with Victorian accreditation as a nurse immuniser, passionate about delivering exceptional immunisation services to the community. If you have strong clinical knowledge in immunisation and experience working with clients of all ages and backgrounds, we’d love to hear from you! You’ll play a key role in ensuring our clients receive high-quality care, all while remaining calm and efficient under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Immunisation Nurse, you will:

  • Prepare and Dispense Vaccines: Safely draw up and dispense vaccines in a sterile, hygienic manner at public sessions and school visits.
  • Roster Coordination: Assist with the organisation and scheduling of nursing staff as required.
  • Supply Management: Order linen and ensure sterile trays are available for each session.
  • Medical Direction Compliance: Receive and act on directions from the Medical Officer of Health or the Coordinator of Environmental Health.
  • Equipment Readiness: Ensure that all necessary equipment is available and in working order before sessions.
  • Recognise and Respond to Reactions: Identify signs of vaccine reactions, including anaphylactic shock, and provide appropriate assistance when required.
