In this role, you will provide specialised input into the statutory and strategic planning processes to positively contribute to land development in the City.  You will perform complex analysis of engineering and drainage works associated with development applications whilst ensuring the City’s engineering standards, specifications and guidelines, pertaining to land use development, are innovative and align with best practice planning outcomes.

You will hold a qualification in Civil Engineering, or significant progress towards a degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management. To succeed in this position, you will also require sound report writing skills and experience in the preparation and presentation of Council and/or technical reports.

To be considered for this role, you must address the following selection criteria when completing your online application:

  1. Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, or significant progress towards a Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  2. Comprehensive understanding of civil engineering principles and interpretation of technical data
  3. Sound interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including report writing
  4. Comprehensive knowledge of project planning, design assessment, construction techniques, materials and equipment in land subdivision/development related works

We are offering a gross annual salary of $95,325 per annum and:

  • the opportunity to co-contribute a further 5% superannuation
