Plant Operator - Water and Sewerage

Flinders Shire Council is seeking candidates for the role of Plant Operator Labourer for Water and Sewerage.

The Water and Sewerage Plant Operator / Labourer is responsible for operating plant/fleet along with general labouring duties across the Flinders Shire to achieve Councils Operational and Strategic Objectives.

Predominantly based within the Water and Sewerage team, this role may also be required to work across other teams within Engineering Services.

As a representative of Council, demonstrated professionalism and a commitment to a high level of service and continuous improvement in the best interest of Council and the Community are essential.

The position is classified as a Level 2-5 under the Queensland Local Government Industry (Stream B) Award – State 2017.

The annual salary range for this position is $65,527 – $71,986 gross per annum depending on experience and qualifications.

This is a permanent full-time position. The standard hours of work are 6.00am – 3.30pm (38 hours a week), working a 9-day fortnight. (i.e. one day a fortnight is a paid day off).
