About the Opportunity

Council is committed to providing high-quality facilities and services to our community. As a Facilities Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our public buildings, community recreational facilities are well-maintained and meet the needs of our residents.

This position can be based at any if our regional centres (Dalby/Tara/Miles/Chinchilla or Wandoan)

Reporting to the General Manager (Corporate Services), you will be;

  • Driving a strong safety culture across a team.
  • Lead and contribute to a positive workplace culture; inspire, motivate and foster a high-performing team environment.
  • Leading, managing and developing a multi-disciplinary team that covers the functional areas of projects, aerodromes, asset management, and the development, maintenance, and improvement of facilities.
  • Providing advice and assistance with business analysis, preparation of business cases, identification of project scope and risks, project planning, benefits realisation and monitoring, implementation and support of new facilities.

About yourself

The successful applicant will need to hold a relevant Degree in one or more fields appropriate to the role e.g., Asset and Infrastructure Management, Architecture, Engineering, Built Environments, Project/ Asset/ Facilities Management, OR be able to demonstrate equivalent related experience. It is also highly desirable for the successful candidate to have

  • Current Drivers Licence and Police Check.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving a strong safety culture across a team.
  • Senior management experience and knowledge of business management practices, risk management, budget monitoring, service agreements and contractor performance management in large complex organisations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management practices and high level technical skills to plan, implement and evaluate projects and services.

Salary Packaging Available

Leave Loading
