Council is seeking a suitably qualified applicant to fill the permanent full-time role of Manager ICT Services.

We have an exciting career opportunity as Manager ICT Services, to lead the Information Services team in delivering services and supporting Councils IT systems. Reporting directly to the Director Finance and Commercial, you will support Broken Hill City Council in maximising the innovation, operational availability, integrity and usage of Council’s technology, communication, security, and associated information systems.

Job Description

This position provides strategic, operational & compliance advice to Council and managers regarding the technology direction, choices and risks, the operational management of day to day systems and processes, IT business continuity, oversight of a multidisciplinary team, and strong compliance focus in internal and external IT audit activities in adherence with the NSW State Records Act.

As an experienced leader, you are adept at managing a number of direct reports across multiple functional areas including hardware and software support, records management, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to meet the desired outcomes and engage key stakeholders to implement change. You will have demonstrated experience in commitment to customer service and the delivery of high-quality services.

We are seeking an individual that has an understanding and previous experience mentoring staff and leading by example.
