About the Job
The Risk Advisor is responsible for leading and promoting a positive risk culture across the organisation. They will facilitate a collaborative approach to the ongoing development, review and implementation of Council’s strategic and organisational risk management programs, which includes being actively involved in identifying and managing risks in day-to-day activities and projects.
This crucial role has the responsibility of coordinating the development, review and implementation of community emergency management initiatives and council wide strategies for business continuity.
The role will regularly use their research and analytical skills to ensure that the business is afront of emerging trends and so that Councils approach to risk management remains contemporary and aligned to the risk management standards and best practice within the industry.
Demonstrated experience in a similar role with a tertiary qualification in Risk Management, Business Management, Public Administration or related field is highly desirable.
About the Team
Our Governance and Risk Team is a small team of high performing professionals providing specialist advice and support across the organisation in the areas of Risk, Internal Audit, Insurance and Governance.
This position is offered on a permanent, full-time basis and is classified at Level 6, with a starting salary of $108,727 per annum + Superannuation.
