About the role

This role contributes to the success of the City by operating Salamanca Market's performance to ensure it is well-run and safe for stallholders and patrons and delivers a quality customer experience. 

Role accountabilities include:

• Responsible for the effective and safe management of Salamanca Market every Saturday
• Lead and coordinate the effective, efficient and sustainable management of the human and physical resources of the market crew
• Provide advice and / or support to any complex dispute resolution process involving stallholders and/or stakeholders.

About you

Salamanca Market, one of Tasmania’s most iconic destinations, is looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Advisor to lead our operations team.

Essentials for this role: 

• Bachelor Degree or higher in events management/hospitality (or a related field) or equivalent experience.
• Current Drivers Licence
• Registration to Work with Vulnerable People
• HLTAID011 Provide first aid
• Competency in Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry – White Card (3PCCWHS1001)

Desirable;

• Emergency management qualifications. (Desirable)
• Current Chief Warden training. (Desirable)
• Familiarity with the use of AutoCAD. (Desirable)
• Competencies in Control traffic with stop-slow bat (RIIWHS205E) and Implement traffic management plan (RIIWHS302E) Or subsequent qualifications if these are superseded (Desirable)
