Bring your horticultural expertise to help us create stunning landscapes that enhance our community! Under the guidance of the Parks Presentation Coordinator, you'll:

  • Apply professional horticultural practices to maintain and elevate the quality of Council’s landscapes and garden areas.
  • Share your skills by mentoring team members in sound horticultural principles, ensuring our parks meet the highest standards.
  • Undertake diverse horticultural and maintenance duties, including interpreting plans, laying out/constructing gardens, and maintaining landscapes to specification.
  • Play a key role assisting in scheduling and programming work to maintain and upgrade garden sites, helping to drive excellence in all projects.
  • Use your knowledge to ensure effective weed control, and maintain compliance with Health and Safety requirements at all times.

What you'll bring - skills, experience and certificates:

  • Certificate IV in Horticulture or equivalent with extensive relevant experience and a demonstrated understanding of the principles and practices in high quality horticultural maintenance.
  • Understanding of sound weed control practices that comply with Health and Safety Organisation codes of practices.
  • Demonstrated traffic management skills
  • Medium rigid motor vehicle licence
  • Competency in safe operation of light to medium plant.
  • Experience working in a team environment or individually to deliver high quality horticultural outcomes
