About the position:
The City has a unique and exciting opportunity available for a Strategic Planning Officer to join the City Growth branch and contribute to shaping the City of Greater Geraldton in a way that allows our community to thrive.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity that will see the successful candidate support the implementation of the City’s strategic planning objectives. The role will make a significant contribution to the delivery of the City’s strategic work program that includes review of the local strategic plan and planning scheme within the next 2 years.

Position requirements:
Qualified planners will hold a degree in Town Planning or equivalent qualification recognised by Planning Institute of Australia, with experience in complex strategic planning projects. All candidates must have comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, regulation and requirements within Western Australia, and knowledge of project management including budget monitoring and managing key stakeholder relationships.
Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.
Remuneration and benefits:
The Strategic Planning Officer position has a salary starting from $103,899 per annum or $52.5805 per hour will be offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
