About the Opportunity

Operating from within the Facilities Department, you will be responsible for supervising regional Maintenance Officers and overseeing the delivery of maintenance, repairs, compliance and proactive projects to Council owned facilities across the region.

This can be based at any of our western regional centres (Miles/Tara or Chinchilla).

You will be:

  • Assessing, prioritising and delegating maintenance and compliance requests received through CRM's and other channels to Maintenance Officers for attention and completion within agreed timeframes;
  • Providing specialist advice in relation to building construction methodology;
  • Designing, delivering and supervising delivery of proactive capital maintenance projects (ie new bathroom)
  • Identifying maintenance issues with facilities, investigating potential solutions and implementing relevant actions to rectify.

About yourself

A person in this position will need to hold a relevant Trade Qualification in a related field, OR be able to demonstrate equivalent related experience in building construction/ maintenance sector. It is also highly desirable for the successful candidate to have

  • Trade Qualification in Building Construction
  • Experience in determining and documenting scopes for proactive capital maintenance projects,
  • Ability to undertake procurement processes and delivering proactive capital maintenance projects
  • Qld Construction White Card
  • Relevant tickets/training associated with the role e.g. Working at heights, elevated work platforms
  • "C" Class drivers license
