Council has a great opportunity for someone who is looking for a role where no two days are the same. Working as part of a great team assisting the Armidale community with this essential service, you are accountable for carrying out general operational duties in the waste transfer station, landfill and the Community Recycling Centre. One day you could be working the Gatehouse or the Second-Hand shop, greeting customers and processing transactions, the next working at City to Soil getting your hands dirty. Use your experience with front-end loaders, excavators and forklifts to carry out general maintenance and tasks around the Waste Management Facility. In addition, you will be supported in gaining your Certificate III in Waste Management. To be successful in this role, you will need: • A current Australian MR Driver’s Licence and Class C Licence. • Proven experience with Front End Loader, Excavator, and Forklift operation. • Sound record-handling skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff, contractors, and the public. • The ability to manage your schedule and complete tasks efficiently. • Understanding of Environmental Protection Practices specific to Waste Management Facilities. • NSW WorkCover Construction Induction Card (white card).
