Town Services - Caretaker - Racecourse Reserve

POSITION OBJECTIVES

This position works as part of the broader Town Services team in the delivery of town beautification to public spaces, recreational grounds & council assets. The role of the caretaker of the Racecourse Reserve is to efficiently maintain and improve the grounds, structures and equipment located at the Boulia Shire Racecourse Reserve, in accordance with budgets, time allocations, safety, quality, environmental standards and the strategic direction of Council.

The Boulia Racecourse Reserve is a key asset to the community of Boulia and as such is held in a high regard not only in its presentation but functionality for delivery of key annual events delivered by multiple community organisations. Critical to the success of building a thriving system at the racecourse reserve will be the applicant’s ability to work in partnership with Department of Corrections – Work Camp.

The caretaker’s residence (3 bedroom - unfurnished) at the Racecourse Reserve will be made available to the successful candidate at a subsidised rate of $150.00 per week.
