The role

 

Join our team at the Morris Iemma Indoor Sports Centre (MIISC) as a Play Centre Assistant and be a key player in delivering exceptional customer service while creating fun, safe, and engaging experiences for families and children in our new indoor play centre. 

In this role, you will host community events, such as children's birthday parties, and help maintain a clean and welcoming environment. You’ll assist with food preparation, customer care, event coordination, and cash handling, ensuring our visitors feel supported and valued.

Represent the Council with pride and help create a community we all love!


Duties will include but not be limited to:

 

  • Setup and clean-up of the function / party areas
  • Ensure the indoor play centre equipment is clean and ready for use
  • Food preparation and service
  • Coordinating food, activities and games for guests
  • Attending to customer needs during functions
  • Night and Weekend Work

You will have

 

  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Working with Children's Check (Applicable for 18 years over)
  • Basic Food Handlers Certificate
  • Maintain professionalism in a customer service environment and basic customer service skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

 

The salary range for this opportunity starts at $28.8716 per hour (Grade A, Step1) + 11.5% super + 25% casual loading. Salary may be negotiable dependent on skills and experience.
