About the role:

Council is seeking an application from an enthusiastic, experienced and suitably qualified person to join our team as Community Compliance Team Coordinator.

Joining the Community Services team you will lead a team delivering our community compliance activities including local laws and planning compliance, animal services and tidy properties. We are seeking someone who can lead and develop team members, work closely with members of our community to assist them to meet community compliance requirements, and if required undertake the necessary steps to ensure compliance with Council’s regulatory functions.

This is a permanent full-time position, based at our Wedderburn office, with flexible working arrangements available.

Band 7 salary range $97,998.75 - $108,878.11 per annum plus employer superannuation.

About you:

The successful candidate will have:

  • qualifications and previous experience in local laws or planning compliance or a related field
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to actively engage with community members, colleagues and other agencies
  • the ability to apply a community development and educative lens in a compliance environment
  • previous experience leading and developing a team
  • the ability to develop, review and implement safe work practices.
