Early Childhood Educator – Traineeships

Leeton Shire Council, as part of the NSW Fresh Start Program, is now recruiting Trainees to join their team at the Leeton Early Learning Centre. This is an opportunity to work and earn whilst completing the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care, commencing in early 2025.

A current Working with Children’s check (WWCC) is essential for candidates aged 18 years and over, and a First Aid Certificate would be desirable.

Salary & Conditions

• The position is classified from T4 in Leeton Shire Council’s salary system (salary range from $803.30 per week) to be negotiated depending on age and relevant experience plus 11.5% superannuation.
• Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.
• Prior to commencement, the successful applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment Functional Assessment and Alcohol & Other Drug screening.
• It is a requirement on commencement to provide evidence of COVID vaccinations.
