About the Job

There is an exciting opportunity for a Coordinator Drafting and Design within the Asset Planning and Development Department. This position will provide direction to the Drafting and Design Team to ensure that project outcomes are achieved in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Complete design and drafting for civil works programs using computer aided design and drafting packages. 
• Liaise with relevant staff on collation of survey data to draft plans for construction. 
• Coordinate the activities of the Computer Aided Drafting/Design team.
• Map and plan preparation for all areas of Council operations. 

This is a full time position.  

About you 

In order to succeed and thrive in this position, you must have:

• Demonstrated previous experience in civil engineering design projects.
• Well developed computer aided civil design skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Good knowledge of the relevant Australian Standards, Austroads Guidelines and MRWA Guidelines.
• Good understanding and knowledge of the Road safety Safe System Principles and implementation.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Proven time management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to use initiative and judgement and prioritise to achieve outcomes within agreed timeframes.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Benefits

Salary Range: $94,580.00 - $102,023.00 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience), plus superannuation.
