About the role

The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Customer Service Officer. The Customer Service Officer is the first point of contact for our customers and one that promotes a positive image of change throughout the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder.

Our Customer Service Officers are responsible for delivering quality customer service to our internal teams and external customers. You will ensure that information is accurate, concise, timely, and in accordance with the City's best practice standards and high customer service expectations.

We are looking for someone with flair, exceptional time management skills, amazing phone etiquette, who can juggle multiple tasks and is adaptable to work within our dynamic team. Cash handling skills are not essential but beneficial. Previous customer service experience is essential. The position is based at the Administration Building.

Duties

Key Responsibilities include:

1.Provide a friendly, responsive and professional service to internal and external customers in accordance with the City’s Customer Service Charter;

2.Provide a complete call Centre service to both the general public and internal extension users;

3.Accurately receipt, balance and bank all monies received over the counter and telephone in accordance with the City’s policies and procedures;

4.Provide relief and assistance to other officers in the Customer Service Team;

5.Promote a positive image of the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder;

6.Undertake to become multi skilled across all areas of the customer service function;

7.Publish, maintain and review all associated processes and procedures using Promapp, to meet the required timelines of the City;

8.Adhere to all City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder policies and procedures, and ensure personal safety at work and that of others;

9.Other accountabilities and responsibilities as directed by the Customer Service Team Leader and/or Manager Organisation and People.

Who we are Looking for:

1.Demonstrated experience in customer service and business administration

2.A customer service focus and excellent customer service skills

3.Advanced computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

4.Ability to quickly attain organisational knowledge

5.Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills including ability to liaise effectively and courteously with internal and external customers

6.Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal departments/business units

7.Ability to work both in a team environment and unsupervised, with a high degree of initiative

8.Demonstrated problem solving and complaint management skills
