The Role
In this role you will ensure the City meets its obligations regarding the administrative review of a range of infringements issued under Victorian and Local Laws in accordance with the relevant Acts, Regulations and Standards.
You will coordinate our internal review processes in line with legislation and internal policies and procedures, which includes conducting investigations, liaising with stakeholders and preparing a range of written reports.
With a customer service focus, you will manage customer and stakeholder expectations, provide clear and precise technical advice and direction, ensure timely communications and maintain detailed records.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have a understanding of the Road Safety Rules and other relevant legislation (or the ability to develop that understanding), comprehensive understanding of procedural fairness and social justice and how to apply these in decision making with an understanding of evidence and the ability to read and follow legislation.
You will have excellent communication skills, a customer service focus with the ability to deal with difficult customers, enjoy working in a team environment, strong time management skills. You will also have investigative, analytical and research skills from a regulatory work environment and skills in delivering effective service outcomes in accordance with a range of governance, risk and privacy principles.
A satisfactory police records check is required for this position.
This is a part time (0.5 FTE), 19 hours per week or 38 hours per fortnight role, with flexibility in the days/hours worked each week.
