Library Assistant

Permanent Full-time Opportunity (35-hour week) + Saturday Shift as required.
Salary Ranging from $60,211.84 - $69,975.88 p.a + 11.5% Superannuation (Depending on Experience)
19-day-4-week cycle (Variable Day Off)

The Opportunity

The purpose of this position is to provide high quality support to the library team in ensuring Library items and resources are readily available to visitors and members of Wingecarribee Public Libraries. This position is ideal for those interested in starting their library career and for those who enjoy helping and communicating with people.

Essential Criteria

1. Minimum of Certificate III in Library Services and/or experience as a Library Assistant or 2 years’ experience working in a similar Customer Service role
2. Demonstrated ability to facilitate and maintain organisation of items and resources
3. Ability to network effectively with key stakeholders in offering support and solutions to deliver customer centric service
4. Demonstrated ability in the use of technology applications, and operating devices effectively and embracing emerging technologies
5. Ability to work in isolation, independently as well as in a team environment
6. Ability to work under pressure and in challenging situations
7. Demonstrated commitment to the provision of a high-quality customer service
8. Demonstrated ability to manage financial transactions from the customer service desks
9. Current C Class Drivers’ Licence
10. Current Working with Children Check
