Blue Mountains Library is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to assist the Team Leader, Children and Young Adults with planning, implementing and presenting Children’s and Young Adults’ services, programs and events in all Blue Mountains Library branches and externally as outreach. The position will also be required to assist with the promotion of programs, to perform administration tasks for the Children and Young Adults team and may be required to fulfil customer service duties in Library branches. An ability to work cooperatively as part of a team, excellent communication skills and flexibility within the work environment are essential.

You will be required to demonstrate the following: experience in and commitment to working with children and young adults; excellent communication and digital literacy skills, strong creative and arts-based craft skills, ability and willingness to assist with the planning and delivery of creative programs and outreach duties, possession of a Working with Children Check.
This is a part-time role (21 hours per week) and may occasionally be required to work outside normal work hours.

Remuneration:  base salary commencing at $54,793 (pro-rata) gross per annum
  + 11.5% superannuation 
            + performance payment 1% - 3.5% annual salary (if eligible) 
  + annual award increase
