The library is looking for a team player who is also confident to work alone when making deliveries. The ability to problem-solve and to be the effective conduit of information are key as well as the flexibility to combine driving and physical skills with efficient office practices. Shifts are allocated on a monthly roster but may occur at any time including last minute.
This position is responsible for providing casual backfill for the Library Courier and Outreach Officer role.
The position requires driving the library van to provide distribution of library materials and supplies to all Library service points including remote Library Lockers and to Home Library Service (HLS) clients and delivers materials between Council Headquarters and Council outlets daily.
The Courier & Outreach Assistant (Casual) also undertakes office work to prepare materials for the remote Library Lockers and the HLS and liaises with HLS clients and key Library staff if required.
This is a physically demanding but excitingly diverse role and is integral to the library team and operations.
Remuneration: base salary commencing at $30.11 gross per hour
+ 11.5% superannuation
+ performance payment 1% - 3.5% annual salary
+ annual award increase
