The Oppor­tu­ni­ty

We seek an expe­ri­enced Man­ag­er Gov­er­nance, who is respon­si­ble for man­age­ment, review and con­tin­u­ous improve­ment of Council’s gov­er­nance frame­work, risk man­age­ment frame­work, and legal advice.

Your respon­si­bil­i­ties will be includ­ed but not lim­it­ed to devel­op­ing and lead­ing the imple­men­ta­tion of a best-prac­tice Cor­po­rate Gov­er­nance Frame­work and pro­vid­ing strate­gic advice to Senior Exec­u­tive and Elect­ed Mem­bers on mat­ters relat­ing to improv­ing the gov­er­nance of pol­i­cy, plan­ning, and oper­a­tions of Coun­cil, man­ag­ing the review and imple­men­ta­tion of Elect­ed Mem­ber and Oper­a­tional poli­cies includ­ing the devel­op­ment of pol­i­cy suites across the organ­i­sa­tion, and man­age Gov­er­nance team mem­bers and sup­port skill devel­op­ment across the busi­ness unit to opti­mise Coun­cil oper­a­tions dur­ing times of leave and reduced resourcing.

• Attrac­tive salary start­ing at Lev­el 8.1 (MO) $122,965.69 p/​a plus 11.5% super­an­nu­a­tion and dis­trict allowance — $2611 w/​dependents, $1498 w/​o dependents
• 6 weeks annu­al leave with addi­tion­al gen­er­ous leave enti­tle­ments (annu­al leave is paid at the employee’s ordi­nary hourly rate togeth­er with a leave load­ing of 17.5%) + 3 weeks per­son­al leave
