The Opportunity
As a member of the Natural Assets Team, reporting to the Senior Pest and Rehabilitation Officer, you will undertake activities aimed at protecting and enhancing the unique environment that is the Hinchinbrook Shire. Key responsibilities of the role include the on-ground delivery of restoration, ecosystems services and risk mitigation activities, including revegetation, coastal management and invasive species control.
If you are seeking diversity in your work, this role could be for you. On any given day, you could be undertaking a range of tasks such as field inspections, public education, data collection or general maintenance activities. You will possess strong communication skills as a key aspect of the role will be engaging with landholders and agency field staff.
This is a three year fixed term role which presents an ideal opportunity for someone to advance or commence their career in a supportive Local Government work environment, undertaking activities that will benefit the environment and community.
