Loader Operator - Road Construction

Flinders Shire Council is seeking candidates for the role of Loader Operator – Road Construction.

The Loader Operator Road Construction is responsible for operating plant and fleet and labouring duties across Flinders Shire to achieve Councils Operational and Strategic Objectives. Predominantly based within the Road construction and maintenance team, this role will also be required to work across other teams within Engineering Services.

As a representative of Council, demonstrated professionalism and a commitment to a high level of service and continuous improvement in the best interest of Council and the Community are essential.

The position is classified as a Level 5 under the Queensland Local Government Industry (Stream B) Award – State 2017.

The annual salary for this position is $68,117.40 gross per annum depending on experience and qualifications.

This is a permanent full-time position. The standard hours of work are 6.00am – 3.30pm (38 hours a week), working a 9-day fortnight. (i.e. one day a fortnight is a paid day off).
