The City of Karratha is offering an opportunity for an individual to join our Sanitation Team as a Road and Footpath Sweeper on a contract for 6 months. This position is based in Karratha and offers an attractive salary and other benefits including, but not limited to:
•    Allowances
•    Six weeks annual leave (pro-rata)
•    13% Superannuation

The Road and Footpath Sweeper is responsible for maintaining clean and safe roads and footpaths to ensure public spaces are free from debris and hazards. This position involves the operation of road and footpath sweepers, and plant items allocated.

The successful candidate will possess: 

•    High School education or relevant related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
•    Good knowledge of City area
•    Current HR class driver’s licence.
•    Demonstrated experience in the safe operation of heavy plant and/or tickets
•    National (or Federal) Police Certificate (no more than 6 months old)
