Senior HR Officer

• Permanent full-time position
• 9-day fortnight. (i.e. one day a fortnight is a paid day off)
• Subsidised accommodation negotiable
• Annual salary range $88,776 - $99,393 gross per annum depending on experience and qualifications

The Opportunity

The Senior Human Resources Officer provides dedicated end to end business partnering support, guidance and services to Council officers and senior leaders within Flinders Shire Council to achieve business outcomes.

The role is responsible for providing high level advice and assistance on a range of activities across Council’s Human Resources function including; day to day human resource management, recruitment, performance management, employee and industrial relations; and staff engagement, guidance and support, capability and development.

About You

Essential

• Demonstrated experience in all areas of Human Resource Management, including performance management, recruitment, selection and industrial relations.
• High level knowledge of legislation, awards, agreements, policies and procedures relating to Human Resources.
• Demonstrated ability to research, collate information and provide written reports and recommendations.

Desirable

• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or equivalent, while not essential, would be highly regarded
• Experience in a similar role within a large and complex organisation.
• Experience in a local government environment.
