Your Role: Shaping Our Workforce

As the Senior People Operations Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the City of Bunbury attracts, develops, and retains top talent. You will work closely with various teams to design recruitment strategies, implement performance management systems, and ensure that our HR practices align with the strategic goals of the organisation. You will be an advocate for diversity and inclusion, ensuring that our workforce reflects the community we serve.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leadership: Lead and manage a small team of Business Partners and Payroll Officer, ensuring effective collaboration and development.
  • Talent Acquisition and Retention: Design and implement recruitment strategies to attract and retain skilled employees, with a focus on diversity and inclusion.
  • Performance Management: Oversee performance management systems, including appraisals and feedback mechanisms, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Develop competitive compensation packages while ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with policies.
  • Organisational Change: Support organisational change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal disruption.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure HR practices comply with relevant laws and regulations, while managing risks related to employment practices.
