Your Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity to use your project engineering skills and experience to support our Major Projects team in delivering some of the largest and most critical projects in the region.

As a Senior Project Engineer you will be responsible for leading teams for project delivery activities for capital works across Council’s engineering project portfolio. In addition to this, you will be responsible for the overall delivery, project management and contract management of elements of major capital works projects completed by both internal and
external resources including contract administration of consultancy, materials supply and building or civil contracts and review of contract claims as required.

The ideal candidate has:

• Bachelor of Engineering or other relevant Engineering qualification.
• Extensive civil engineering, project and contract management experience in a medium to large multi-disciplined organisation.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multi-disciplinary project teams to achieve project & corporate objectives.
• Demonstrated ability in using effective negotiation skills when dealing with clients.
• Well-developed written communication skills with demonstrated ability to write detailed technical reports.
