Senior Project Manager - Open Space Projects

• Salary Range Band 8 $125,104 - $140,199 plus 11.5% super 
• Full time Permanent role

About the Organisation 

The City of Port Phillip is an inner-city council with around 1000 employees who deliver more than 100 programs and services to our residents, businesses and visitors. These range from childcare and immunisations, to libraries, management of parks and open space, rubbish collection, road maintenance and more. What’s the role all about 

Are you a passionate and driven Senior Project Manager looking to contribute to the successful delivery of a range of projects that will benefit our community? 

Ideally this role would suit a pro-active strategic thinker / solution focused Senior Project Manager with a background of delivering open space projects.

We have a passionate and driven team who work together to deliver outcomes that positively benefit our community.  

1 x full-time permanent 

What you might do 

• Lead the delivery of Open Space Projects.
• Ensure the delivery of projects on time within agreed budget and scope
• Provide sound design advice, support to the project delivery teams, internal stakeholders and sponsors
• Contribute to a cohesive and innovative team culture
• Lead and contribute to continuous improvement

Who we are looking for.

• A tertiary qualification in Project Management, Landscape Architecture, Open Space or equivalent with substantial experience in the management of construction projects.
• Extensive experience in managing whole of life public open space projects including construction management.
• Experience in delivering high-quality project management and integrated outcomes.
• Community consultation and stakeholder management experience
• Experience in managing open space and recreation capital works projects in a local government context is desirable.
