Band 6 - Salary Range $95,073 to $103,531 per annum + 11.5% Super + ADO

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of the library leadership team, you will lead the planning, implementation, and assessment of diverse library programs and marketing initiatives.

This key role involves cultivating valuable partnerships with stakeholders to promote lifelong learning, offering an exceptional opportunity to shape the future of our library services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor a program framework for the planning, delivery and evaluation of literacy and learning programs to engage the community and provide opportunities for lifelong learning and social connection.
  • Lead, positively influence and develop the Literacy and Learning Programs team to ensure a consistent community development approach to library program delivery.
  • Provide direction to staff responsible for marketing collateral, promotional campaigns and the online library.
  • Develop and enhance partnerships with Council service units, tertiary, primary and secondary education providers, government, and corporate organisations to deliver an increased range of sustainable programs at libraries, outreach sites and online.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have the following:

  • Tertiary qualification acceptable for professional membership (Librarian) of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) together with some relevant experience in leading teams, or relevant tertiary qualification in community development, education or communications together with some relevant experience in leading teams.
  • Experience in developing and delivering of community programs and marketing campaigns in a library context.
  • Highly developed marketing skills and ability to provide sound advice to enhance the delivery of outcomes through the service.
  • Current valid Victorian Driver’s Licence.
  • Must hold or be able to obtain an Employee Working with Children Check.
