Community Development Officer - Community Transport

Community Development Officer – Community Transport – Fixed Term Full Time

• Parental leave replacement up to 12 months
• Salary: $82,561.76 - $87,681.67 per annum
• Plus up to 14.5% superannuation (conditions apply)

Working as part of the Community Development team, you will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of the City’s Community Transport Program including the management of volunteers, eligibility assessments for new clients and the management and promotion of the service. You will also support the Community Development team to implement high quality community development projects and initiatives. The position requires the candidate to work full-time flexible hours, with occasional evenings and weekends.

Applicants need to provide their resume along with a covering letter of no more than two pages addressing the following selection criteria: 

• Completion of Certificate IV or progressing to a higher qualification in Community Services or similar discipline and/or equivalent relevant experience.
• Highly developed verbal and written communication including report writing.
• Experience of working with volunteers to deliver a program.
• Skills in time management, setting priorities and organising work.
• Demonstrated experience working with at risk groups.

The successful applicant will require a Current National Police Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Western Australian ‘MR’ Class Driver’s License and a Passenger Transport Driver licence, or a willingness to obtain within the first 3 months of appointment to position.
