About the role

The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is seeking an airport compliance coordinator responsible for the sound, efficient and proactive coordination, planning and management of all aviation compliance-related matters associated with the operation of the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Airport

Duties

Key responsibilities include:

1. Assist the Airport Manager in the overall operational control of the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Airport.

2. Review and maintain regulatory compliance manuals and airport operational documents.

3. Assume responsibility for the airport’s Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) and Visitor Identification Card (VIC) systems and ensure by regular inspection of their records that all Issuing Agents are compliant with the Aviation Transport Security Regulations 2005 in relation to ASICs and VICs.

4. Manage appropriate and effective airport emergency and security plans in accordance with the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations, Aviation Transport Security Act 2004, Aviation Transport Security Regulations 2005, Kalgoorlie-Boulder Airport Aerodrome Manual, Safety Management System and Transport Security Program.

5. Assist the Airport Manager in the preparation of budgets

6. Develop and maintain knowledge of all airport and aviation-related publications, manuals, statutes and regulations.

7. Extract and maintain accurate aircraft and passenger movement statistical data and provide regular reporting.

8. Publish, maintain and review all associated processes and procedures using Promapp, to meet the required timelines of the City;

9. Adhere to all City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder policies and procedures, and ensure personal safety at work and that of others;

10. Other accountabilities and responsibilities as directed by the Airport Manager and/or Executive Manager Council Businesses and Property.

Who we are Looking for

To be considered for this position, you will need:

1. Relevant appropriate tertiary qualifications or substantial experience in aviation compliance administration at a major regional or capital city airport;

2. Current holder of a valid Australia-wide ASIC or unfettered ability to so obtain;

3. Demonstrated knowledge of procedural and operational methods for airports in the application and implementation of the statutory requirements;

4. Ability to interpret and implement conditions contained in legislation pertaining to the aviation industry;

5. High-level written and verbal communication skills including analytical reports and presentations and demonstrated ability in the use of computer applications (including but not necessarily limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) and other information systems;

6. High-level interpersonal skills to liaise and negotiate with members of government agencies, emergency services, tenants and operators at all levels;

7. Senior First Aid Certificate;

8. Current satisfactory National Police Clearance;

9. Current WA “C” Class driver’s licence.
