The role

As the Childhood Educator, your role will involve actively supporting the centre in upholding a high-quality standard of education and care. This includes implementing engaging learning activities, ensuring a nurturing environment, and fostering the overall development and well-being of children in your care.
This position is full-time and permanent, at the Certificate III Educator level (not Diploma level).

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Ensure adherence to the Education and Care Services National Law, Regulations, and Quality Standards at all times.
  • Support the implementation of an innovative and reflective early childhood education program aligned with the principles, practices, and outcomes of the National Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Promote collaboration within a cohesive team, demonstrating a positive attitude and effective communication skills.
  • Foster meaningful and respectful relationships with children, families, colleagues, community members, management, and other professionals, collaborating to tailor a curriculum that meets each child's individual strengths, needs, and interests.
  • Document children's learning and development using diverse observational methods.
  • Perform additional duties as required by the Children's Centre Director.

You will have

  • Certificate III in Early Childhood Education
  • Valid Working with Children Check
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate (including Asthma & Anaphylaxis)
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering high-quality learning experiences and environments for young children
  • Completion of the Identify and respond to Children & Young People at Risk of Harm module
  • Comprehensive understanding of child development
  • Proven ability to communicate positively and establish trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Commitment to ongoing professional learning and development

The salary range for this opportunity starts at $62,266 (Grade C, Step 1) + 11% super. Salary may be negotiable dependent on skills and experience.
