About the role

This position is a permanent full-time role in the Executive Services team and based at the Moruya Administration Office. The role will provide administrative support to the Office of the General Manager and the Councillors. Your main duties will include:

  • Executive level administration including, but not limited to, scheduling of meetings, records management, financial processing and preparation of reports and publications.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Councillors, facilitating communication and information exchange between the elected members, Executive Leadership Team and staff.
  • Assist in the organisation of Civic functions and provide support for meetings and functions held in the Executive area. 
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for the Office of the General Manager and Councillors.

About you

You will be an experienced administrative professional who can contribute strong organisational and external customer support, with excellent time management skills to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the office. You will be a strong communicator with highly developed interpersonal skills and must demonstrate the following:

  • Business administration qualification and/or extensive relevant experience.
  • Sound judgment and discretion with the ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Sound knowledge of the provisions of the Local Government Act 1993 and associated Regulations. 
  • Highly developed organisational and time management skills for multi-tasking projects and juggling busy schedules with tight deadlines.

Salary Information

Total remuneration for the role is in the range of $84,739.82 to $92,498.65 gross per annum comprising:

  • $75,999.84 to $82,958.43 base salary
  • $8,739.98 to $9,540.22 superannuation (calculated at 11.5%)
