ABOUT FAMILY DAY CARE
Merri-bek Family Day Care is an approved home-based early childhood education and care service that is provided by registered Family Day Care Educators. It is for children from birth to 12 years of age. The service is currently rated as Exceeding National Quality Standard as part of the National Quality Assessment and Rating Process.
Family Day Care Educators are experienced and qualified early childhood professionals who provide high quality care and education for children in their own homes, Support is provided by our Council Coordination Unit.
Family Day Care offers flexible arrangements including outside business hours, weekends, before and after school/kindergarten and school holidays. Family Day Care helps children develop confidence and social skills and connect them with their local community.
ABOUT THE ROLE
If you enjoy working with children and want to make a real difference in the community then this is the role for you.
This is an opportunity to start your own business as an early childhood qualified Family Day Care Educator. With support and guidance from the Coordination Unit you will provide high quality care and education to children in your home. Working with children and families, you will plan, deliver and evaluate a program that meets the needs and interests of children, supporting their wellbeing in a safe and healthy environment.
A minimum of 3 days per week and a 12-month commitment to the role is required.
