About the role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fitter & Welder to join our Engineering Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing essential infrastructure, including pumps, filters, and chlorinators. Your expertise in welding and fabrication will play a crucial role in supporting the City’s operational excellence.

Duties

Key responsibilities include:

• Perform maintenance and repairs on pumps, filters, and effluent systems.
• Service and repair chlorinators and chlorine dosing systems.
• Oversee and complete welding and general fabrication projects.
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.

Who we are Looking for:

To be considered for this position, you will need:

• Trade Certificate in Welding or Fitting, or significant relevant experience.
• Chlorine Handling Certificate (including Breathing Apparatus training).
• Forklift Operator and First Aid certifications.
• Proficiency in maintenance, fabrication, and equipment servicing.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A current WA “HR” Class Driver’s License and National Police Clearance
