Position description and selection criteria
Governance Officer Position Description
Collaborate with other local governments and State Agencies, ensure compliance with critical processes, and support high-level committee operations. Engage in risk management, council support, and Freedom of Information applications. This is a chance to make a significant impact on our Shire’s governance framework.
Demonstrated experience of the above responsibilities within a local government environment or similar is essential. Previous working knowledge of corporate governance processes pertaining to the Local Government Act and Regulations are required. Proven ability to advise on legislative and governance matters are key for the role.
