In the role of Housing & Facilities Officer, your responsibilities will include coordinating routine and reactive maintenance for Council buildings, conduct essential audits and property inspections for all Council housing and facilities and ensure timely processing of procurement and invoicing. You will build relationships with a diverse range of people and will apply your skills to assist with the organising and monitoring of processes required to maintain our facilities.

The position is based in Alice Springs, as part of the role, approximately 50% of work time will be spent travelling to and working in various remote communities across the Macdonnell Region. We offer a permanent, full-time position with a starting annual salary of $85,389 [inclusive of superannuation and leave loading]. Including generous benefits, such as 6 weeks annual leave, 12 days personal leave, access to study leave and a flexible working arrangement.

To succeed in this role, you'll have experience in facilities, asset or project management. Basic knowledge in property maintenance, high level communication skills, ability to work independently and to address complex problems and a focus on attention to detail which is an essential attribute for this position.
