IT Business Consultant

We’re seeking a dedicated Strategic Business Partner to work within our Information & Technology Services (I&TS) Branch, serving as the vital link between our technology capabilities and the needs of our diverse business units.

This role offers the opportunity to influence organisational outcomes, shape technology-driven solutions, and drive transformative projects, all while promoting value-for-money, efficiency, and innovation.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Strategic Liaison: Proactively engage with business directorates and units by conducting regular business partner meetings to identify and shape business demand and strategic opportunities.
• Collaborative Partnerships: Build strong relationships with Council’s business units, offering expert advice to define their needs, identify solutions, and solve complex problems through the creation of business case value.
• Strategic Alignment: Support the I&TS strategy by helping stakeholders leverage existing IT services and promoting the development of business-led IT initiatives to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
• Procurement Support: Provide hands-on assistance and expert advice for procuring IT solutions, including facilitation of risk and security reviews for proposed initiatives.
• Business Analysis: Undertake a variety of business analysis tasks related to the design, build, and successful implementation of IT projects that support Council’s broader goals.
• Innovation & Creativity: Develop and recommend innovative solutions by leveraging emerging technologies within a rapidly evolving IT landscape.
• Change Management: Oversee small-scale enhancements, ensuring smooth adoption across business units and delivering measurable outcomes that align with Council’s objectives.
