About the Role
Barkly Regional Council is looking for a dedicated Safe House Officer to provide critical support, safety, and guidance to those in need.
As a Safe House Officer – Ali Curung, you will work closely with the Safe House Team Leader - Ali Curung to provide case management support, emergency accommodation, and outreach assistance to at-risk women and children. You will play a key role in maintaining a safe and supportive environment while ensuring the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.
The position will support and respect Aboriginal Culture by providing leadership to the Community Safety staff and providing a safe community through regular working community safety services to encourage community participation and promote individual and community well-being whilst minimising the harm that is associated with alcohol and other drugs.

• Casual position paying Level 3 Pay Point 1 of the Barkly Regional Council Enterprise Agreement 2023.
• Hourly Rate or $34.93 per hour (including 25% casual loading).
• Remote Community Zone Allowance of $2.51 per ordinary hour.
• 11.5% Superannuation.
