As the Personal Assistant to the Director Corporate and Commercial, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Director and Executive Leadership Team to deliver the strategic community plan and shape the future of Kalgoorlie-Boulder. With portfolio responsibilities including the Airport, Golf Course, Oasis, Arts Centre, Library, Eastern Goldfields Community Centre, Men’s Shed and the City’s Events team and ICT team, you will support the Director by coordinating directorate teams and activities. The role will include performing day-to-day Personal Assistant duties such as diary management, preparing documentation/reports, coordinating directorate activities, assisting with risk management and corporate performance responsibilities and supporting lease management.

You will work closely with the various Managers and Coordinators within the portfolio as well as across other operational areas of the City to ensure effective, efficient and customer-serviced focussed performance and will be expected to support a highly collaborative wider team with any ad hoc requests.

We are seeking someone who is organised, efficient, able to manage their own workload, take initiative and be an energetic member of the team. This role is perfect for someone with previous administrative or executive support experience who is looking for exposure to a dynamic workplace and opportunity for career development.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate their excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to prioritise and multi-task in a high volume and deadline-driven environment while delivering work on time, to a high standard and with attention to detail. Local government experience will be highly regarded.
