About the Role

Barkly Regional Council is seeking a dedicated Night Patrol Team Leader – Arlparra to lead the Community Safety & Wellbeing Program. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring a strong, vibrant, and community-driven program that meets the needs of the local community while maintaining accountability to the program's funding body.

As the Night Patrol Team Leader, you will provide leadership and support to the Community Safety staff while fostering a safe and respectful environment. Through regular community safety services, you will promote participation, encourage well-being, and work to minimise harm associated with alcohol and other drugs.

About You

  • You have strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to manage a team and ensure smooth operation of patrol services.
  • You are a clear and confident communicator who can engage respectfully with community members, elders, and stakeholders, providing guidance, support, and conflict resolution when needed.
  • You are passionate about community safety and wellbeing, with a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by remote communities and a commitment to fostering a safe and supportive environment.

The Finer Details

  • Full-Time - Temporary position paying $55,221.00 per annum ($2,123.88 gross per fortnihgt) of the Barkly Regional Council Enterprise Agreement 2023.
  • Remote Commuinty Zone Allowance of $1.89 per ordinary hour.
  • 11.5% Superannuation.
  • Annual Leave of 6 weeks paid with 17.5% Leave Loading.
